Water: (note that this hike was after some rain) Sources preceded by a ** are considered probable water sources. Note that much of the General Crook Trail in this circle hike borders FR300, a very busy road (again, hike on weekdays). There are spur roads to most of the cabins, so you might want to camp away from them. Hike on weekdays to avoid most of the race trucks, ATV/ORV noisy terrain destroyers, and winnehogo tin can tourist crowd, which can seriously impact your circle experience. Here's the report, along with some photos, etc. It's a short outing, yet one I enjoyed because of impending cabin (hah) fever meltdown. It contains photos, narrative, videos, historical stuff, USFS cabins near the Mogollon Rim in Coconiño National Forest, Arizona. This report is about circumnavigating the loop and visiting six historic Times of the MAGAvirus, the EtV (Evil trump Virus). Short adventure close to home that makes the most of social distancing and not impacting others during these constrained Overview: Backpacking the Coconiño Cabin Loop is yet another This version can be enlarged and may be more useful than the above map -> click here. Like a Copy/Paste thing.Coconiño Cabin Loop hike, 2020, Circumnavigating Six Historic USFS Cabins near the Mogollon RimĬircle Your Cabins: Coconiño Cabin Loop Backpack:Ĭircumnavigating Six Historic USFS Cabins near the Mogollon RimĪnother in the antisocial social distancing series, in these days of the MAGAvirus I also downloaded an Optica version for FSX, with a pilot & many liveries & colors: UNFORTUNATELY, has DDS textures that are a NoNo for FS 2004 I found a similar bubble aircraft: the Seabird Seeker (not a ducted fan but also a pusher) here also parked at Lubitz Field: with a pilot it's MUCH BETTER I noticed an FS 2002 Optica in blue, so I tried it with FS 2004, clicked NO to some features are not compatible, do you want to cancel them? Here, parked at Lubitz Field AND.YES! Pilot & passenger are included: BUT one cockpit is lousy & the other missing, no doors open, inferior graphics, poor ground handling. no pilot, not even Leslie Nielsen nor an inflatable Auto Pilot. The view from the pilot seat is sensational for low & slow flight.

This is most unfortunate: the model's flight behavior is good, has both cockpits & all controls move, doors open on both sides and graphics are acceptable. Right? UNFORTUNATLY, the FS9 Optica does not include a pilot, like a static or museum display Here, my Optica sitting at Duxford: WiTH NO PiLOT? That's even worse than skydiving from a Black Hawk!! Since my derelict & obsolete Lap Top freezes with FSX (unless I move all sliders to extreme left, then any aitcraft looks like a Pack Man with wings lost in MS-DOS ) I fly in FS 2004 environment, all sliders to the right. Never tried a ducted fan though, but having a bubble like a helicopter with a fixed wing convinced me, so I included the Optica in my aircraft stable. I like planes with a fan up front, it refreshes the Mexican weather, including the Autogyro.
